V50 Anti-skid service error
Hi all
There seems to be a lot of different info about this but nothing recent I have a v50 '11 D2 and intermittently over the last couple of days I have been getting the anti-skid service required and when it does occasionally the windscreen wipers will start and can't be stopped (usually a few seconds). Going to try and book it into the garage but in the mean time has anyone had similar? Anything I should be overly concerned about while driving in the mean time? Cheers |

Sounds like an electrical gremlin if the wipers go nuts as well.
A Vida diagnostic check will be your best bet. Although the CEM fuse box under the glove box may have been knocked. You could drop that down and check all the plugs are in tight. Could also be battery or alternator issues?

Definitely electrical - there're plenty of posts on here & other volvo forums on this (many related to fitting HIDs). Check the battery, alternator & earths. Check the connections at the CEM too.
My alternator failed & caused all manner of crazy behaviour & warnings. It was easy to spot as smoke was billowing from it. If it was my car - I wouldn't be driving it until it's sorted. |
