V50 front wheel studs
Sheared wheel studs are a not uncommon problem so this is just to confirm that while Volvo don't sell them separately, your local Ford dealer will sell you one for a Ford Focus which is identical - price three quid as opposed to several hundred for a new hub from Volvo. I just bought one yesterday - a stud that is - and had it fitted today without any problems.

I needed to replace the wheels nuts as well as they had swollen under the chrome and the guys fitting a new set of tyres had a lot of difficulty getting a socket to fit. There are certainly plenty of wheel nuts offered on fleabay for very little money that are claimed to fit but in the end I opted for Volvo ones which I bought from FRF in Swansea. Interestingly, these are supplied as plain steel and the chrome covers are now sold separately. I got the covers but haven't bothered fitting them.

About £55 for 16. I only needed 16 as I had previously replaced the locking wheel nuts which had become very difficult to get off and let's face it, who's going to knick alloy wheels these days from a thirteen year old car!
