V50 D2 D4162T Belt Service
Hello all,
I have a record that my cambelt was changed at just over 57,000 miles. Volvo cambelt kit according to the service sheet, so no water pump included in that and also no mention of the aux belt being changed at the same time. I've found that my engine interval for the change is 84/87,000 miles or so. Should I wait until about 130,000 to get it all done then or get the parts over time and get it all done sooner between 100 and 130k? There's no squeaking belt noises on start up or whilst driving, I'm just aware that this is 1 of if not THE most important part of the car. I've read that it may not be necessary to change the water pump, as they are made of good material, but should that be done at 100k or over? Surely they still can't last that long, no matter how well made? All belts and water pump would be by Gates, full kit and aux belt for £120 plus fitting.
