C30 2008 - performance issues.

Hi all,

I have a 1.6 diesel Volvo c30 (58 reg) that is having some issues and wondered if I could get some opinions before I take it to the garage.

Symptoms:

When driving on motorways in 4th and 5th gear (most of the time) it only revs to about 2,500 rpm. This is intermittent even within minutes of each other, sometimes rev's throughout the range no problems other times not. It doesn't seem to happen on A road's, revving in 4th and 5th seems fine. Almost seems like if it rev's in this gear for longer than a short period of time it has issues.

Backstory:
Don't know if it’s related but had a P2585 fault recently that was EOLYS fluid empty and this was topped up, along with DPF regen needed.

I was wondering if, with peoples opinion, does this sound like Turbo, DPF, Gearbox or something else. I guess I'll need to take it garage, but I thought I'd ask on here so I can take it a bit of confidence.
