I've managed to get both controls for my v50.

Has anyone had any quotes for the cruise software?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi Guys, I have a 2008 S40 and have ordered the steering wheel audio switches from Volvo. I have two concerns about fitting, 1 will the airbag definitly be ok after fitting and also 2, Do I need to buy cable to attach switches or will there be enough? Many thanks, also the photos to help fitting would be great many thanks, Paul..

Hi folks, got most of the way through the process but now need a torx t30 to finish, put everything back together awaiting my torx and now have a warning light "anti skid temporarily off". Is this really bad? and how do I fix? I think I messed up the step of "Install the screw in the contact reel (2)" Can I go back and redo this then reset light via torque app? My steering wheel seems to be sitting slightly off centre when driving..Please advise if you can

I know this is an old thread and I'm new to Volvo's (only picked up 2010 S40 last night).

My steering wheel has no controls for the audio. My 13 Astra previous had them. I was wondering if this thread is about adding the functionality to a car that doesn't have the steering wheel controls or changing / replacing non functioning controls?

Speaking to the Vauxhall dealer via email they have told me that the functionality cannot be added to steering wheels that don't have it. But this thread seems to suggest otherwise or am I misreading the thread??

Just buy the switch corresponding to your vin number and install it. That's it.

If it's that simple then why did my volvo dealer tell me that it is not possible to retrofit the radio controls on steering wheel? Maybe they're trying to get me down the route of a whole new steering wheel?

Would adding the buttons not need some extra wiring?
