Default Dash rattle

Hi all

Just driven my S40 for the first time since my test drive - all good except the dash rattle that I didn't think was too bad, is going to drive me absolutely insane. The garage replaced the 'blower' they told me (heater motor?) and I wonder if they've not tightened something properly. It's coming from somewhere behind the centre console, inside the vehicle i.e. not from the engine. How easy is it to take the dash apart on these? 2011 S40 2.0 by the way. Any help appreciated!!

Start with glovebox removal, its not that hard. A number of Torx screws.

Might be a loose screw rattling around the glovebox area.

Dashboard rattle is not normal with these cars, at least not in my experience.

Found it luckily, as it turns out it was coming from the rear view mirror. A quick smack and it's sorted (for now). If it starts again I'll take it apart.

I had a rattle from that same place years ago. The two plastic sides behind it had come slightly apart. A push and a click back together and the rattle was gone.
