Default S40 Steering Wheel

Does anyone know if a 2000-2004 Volvo S40 Steering Wheel will fit the Volvo C70 Mk1. They look the same to me but I am not sure. Here is photo of the S40 wheel:

Cheers

The steering wheels on my V40 and C70 are a completely different shape close up. The steering column cowl is different so even if the wheel boss is the same the S40 wheel would look very odd once fitted. The airbags are a different shape so you would need the S40 airbag as well - not sure what the carriers restrictions are on transporting those.

Ah, but - as far as we can make out, this being a work-in-progress, an early P2 fits (our 70 anyway). Why would we want to do this?

1) Decent condition examples are cheap and easy to find.
2) You get hand-free buttons.
3) It'll look at home.

We'll post pix when complete.

Interesting suggestion of using early P2 wheel. Couple of questions:
1. Does the P1 airbag fit and hopefully work
2. Does the horn work
3. Do you know if they were produced in redwood
3. What if anything do you do with the control buttons. There is no wiring on the P1 for these functions

Hiya, CNGBiFuel's Son here

1. yes, straight plug in fit
2. work in progress
3. I don't think so,
4. We currently have aftermarket radio fitted, this supports control buttons, so should be somewhat simple with wiring.
