Oh, no!
Without a kitchen, how are you going to clean those brake parts? And without a worktop, how are you going to dismantle that gearbox?

After the time and effort, not to mention £££ going into the kitchen, I'd divorce myself if I used it for either! Thankfully the gearbox I did last year..

Sorry, Alan, but you obviously haven't learned how to load a dishwasher. The outer part of the wheel needs to be on the pressure side. In other words, you've loaded the item upside down.

... indeed after some experimentation I found that the 35C 'mini' wash programme, rather than the 'quick and shine' 60C wash, was adequate for the second and subsequent alloy wheels. I may write to Hotpoint and suggest it adds that to the instructions; an 'alloy wheels' cycle on the menu would be very attractive for men intending to buy a washing up machine. https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showp...postcount=1981 :-) Alan

Grace got herself a Swedish stablemate yesterday, and she's grumpy about it which was demonstrated with a flat tyre when the new girl arrived home. Grace is only jealous as Margo is 5 years newer, and being an 'R', somewhat quicker!!
I now have a Phase 1 V70R in the line up, going to have to move house for a bigger drive soon. |

Bit of TLC for Grace today. New number plates front and rear, and had the OSR wheel off to see if there was a cause for going flat. Other than an iffy looking puncture repair on the tyre shoulder nothing obvious, my local tyre man took one look and said that's not good, so new tyre fitted.
The new girl got a wheel clean and rattle hunt. Makes a change from decorating |
