Many thanks for the link S60D5-185, I think I'll trust your judgement and give them a call to do the work, they're not too far away and I can amuse myself in North Shields for a morning.
I've had the car for 4 years and it had 35K on it when I got it so I'm pretty sure the aux belt is original, best to get the whole lot done including the aux tensioner. |

Aux belts shouldn’t be left for that long without being changed. If you know there’s a tear in it, don’t leave it!

I requested genuine Volvo parts, they're Volvo specialists and a few people have recommended them so I'm happy with that.
Quote is for Cambelt kit, aux belt and tensioner and A/C belt and includes labour too. Booked car in for Tues 30th Thanks |

I last paid £550 for a belt kit and pump for the wife's car. Audi charged me £750. Don't know what it would be for the Volvo cos I haven't done that yet. 🤔

I'm booked in for XC90 MOT there at 9am that morning. 40 mile round trip and worth the effort in my opinion.

For my own peace of mind I did all I could to keep her running for some more time: cambelt kit, AUX belt + tensioner, A/C belt, oils, filters, haldex kit, diff oil, power steering fluid, brake fluid, new brakes (rotors + pads), new battery... thinking about gearbox oil change (manual) but I will wait with that till spring. |
