I'm still sharing daily duties between my van and my C70 GT. It has been running well since I rebuilt the engine.

I have never seen another P80 coupe on the road here. I keep thinking these should be going up in value (I paid £1k for mine) but for some reason they aren't, which is quite surprising. I guess they're just not 'cool' enough yet!

I suppose I'm glad it's a well kept secret how excellent these cars are. I have yet to find a more comfortable car that sounds and goes as well and has such a phenomenal sound system. As others have said you could spend 30 times as much on a modern car and feel underwhelmed in comparison.

I and 'er indoors would be more than happy to jump in the C70 and drive down to the south of France. My neighbour by contrast wanted to take his Porsche on the NC500 - his wife refused to go as the seats are so uncomfortable and she hates travelling more than 20 miles in it. He ended up taking his Range - Rover instead.

I can certainly see the attraction in the C70. In the right colour, they still look the money. And as many people have said, the P80 is so comfortable. The only car I think beats it is the Range Rover. Whilst you can pick up an L322 for reasonable money, it's the maintenance of when something goes wrong that is hugely prohibitive for most, whereas with the Volvo, it isn't

Hello fellow silver C70 GT owner! I note you're also in Scotland, hopefully you'll see mine if I'm ever out East coast way again. I bought mine from the forum back in June for £350, with MoT! Working my way through all of what it needs, My C70 has a sunroof, and a manual gearbox, two options I haven't seen many of. I just think the shape is stunning, in fact, the Volvo range in the mid/late nineties was fab. I can see values of them going up in future, as to when, a few years perhaps.

Manual diesel v70 still in daily use here in Dorset. I too have noticed the lack of other p80s on the road in the last couple of years.

It is the very car you own that is becoming the rarest of all P80's. The 850 diesel is now so rare it should be a museum piece.

I've two P80's, both V70's, both 2.5 auto's, both just 84k miles and at least one, if not both, will be for sale in the new year.

The 20v has been dry stored for 10 years and has recently been given the full works regarding oils, fuel and filters so that it is now taxed, tested and on the road.

The 10v has been in regular use until now but is off the road for a bit of tlc and will be tested in the new year.

Both are in excellent condition but I need the space for another project.

I don't think there are any of the S70 variant round here-if there are they don't take the roads very often-the C70 there are three locally to my knowing an '04 in Grey,an '04 in pale blue and now my step daughters '01 in Saffron.
