Unhappy Is it blowing or not?!

I have a 2003 S40 1.8SE Bi-Fuel saloon which I've owned for about 6 months. After a week or so of buying it I noticed that the exhaust was pretty shabby and seemed to be blowing slightly so I purchased a custom built full stainless system (albeit a quiet one, not boy racer spec!) from Longlife to give better airflow.
I've used Longlife on 3 occasions in the past and the quality is excellent, plus lifelong original purchaser guarantee, but it still felt like it was blowing and, I hope I don't sound mad here, but I could feel it slightly struggling from the pedal response. I took it back to Longlife and they checked it (bear in mind this is a complete all in one "cat back" unit) and they confirmed no leaks at all but also said it seemed fine when driving.
I know it's not fine but as it's driven the same since I've had it then it's awkward to say "it used to be like...." Any thoughts anyone where to check next? Manifold, cat or what?
Help please, so I don't spend a fortune with getting it checked by trial and error

I'd get someone to put a rag over the hole at the end of the exhaust pipe with the engine running and listen to see if you can hear a blow, it could be in the manifold or downpipe.

Default Thanks but..

Thank you for your prompt post.
However, and I should of mentioned, is that we tried that yesterday. We put the car on a ramp, blocked the end and checked for a leak but were unable to locate it along the exhaust. I did say that Longlife had checked it awhile ago but I just wanted to make 100% sure and our findings yesterday were that of the exhaust is fine.
I only had ten minutes to borrow the ramp so I need some ideas of what next
