Default New XC90 owner with a few questions

Hi everyone!

I’m finally an owner of an XC90 which I have been after for a VERY long time! I love the car but have a few questions, first of all the model is D5 AWD and it’s a 2003.

I have looked for these questions on the bored but nothing to match my symptoms.

Ok so the the menu button on the entertainment system doesn’t seem to do anything is there something that could stop that from working that is common?

The second there is a CD stuck in the player it plays but won’t eject (I have put in another cd to check and it did come out with a bit of button pushing multiple times).

Thanks in advance

Hi, you need to contact lucasz at Volvo diagnostics. He is in rainham so not do far.

Be prepared to fork out £160 for I m repair (information control module) although this may not sort the cd issue, but will get your ICM working

Very nice chap too.

Good luck, fellow owner of a d5 AWD XC90 2003.

Hi john,

I shall give him a call and see what he says. I got the cd to eject in the end by pushing and holding the menu button very bizarre.

Also have you had issues with the key fob being intermittent locking and unlocking?

Many thanks

Hi, Nov had problems with key fob other than of my own making?

The sensor (I believer) is at the rear viiew mirror and certainly seem to be reliable

Have you changed the key fob battery and does the same thing happen with both keys?

Lucasz has Vida (Volvo diagnostic tool) and could check key operation at the same time if you ask him.

Cheers
