I'd like to know the effects also, the clacking is becoming a nightmare to listen to, I've just put a bottle of Comma Diesel Injector Magic in the tank as I've just replaced a blown fuel filter housing with a 2nd hand scrappy part.

Well, i stuck in about 200ml just over half a tank in there so had to guesstimate some and i did need to drive about 50 miles, i think it maybe a little quieter, could be wishful thinking mind....

I'm coming to the conclusion that my lifters are bad however I'm not sure if the liquid moly tappet additive is safe or not, if someone says yes, I'll do a bit of digging Bashy and see what results I get for you as mine just literally sounds like someone's put a stone in the head.

Mine is a petrol 2.3 T5 - on changing to Millers Oils XF Longlife 0/40W tappets started to tick a little, BUT around the town MPG has gone up from 17 to 24mpg and on a run of 50 miles or so at a steady 65/70 mph showing at around 33 to 37mpg

However a heavy right foot at any speed shows as between 8 to 10mpg irrespective of speed

Not unlike last year's autobahn readout of 8mpg at 145mph

I gave mine a drink of STP Diesel Injector Cleaner and it seems to have quietened it down somewhat, also the slight misfire when stone cold as diminished somewhat too, I will get another bottle for the next fuel top up and see if it improves any more
