Nsf knocking
Hi all p3 with 152k on the clock today after finishing timing belt kit I got my mechanic to check a knocking noise (on potholes and Roug surface) , it's had two new wishbones back in September aftermarket this was done before I bought the car (I've got 3 month warranty on gearbox and engine) now whilst checking the car he was saying ball joint all good no play link good all these checks were on the ground not on ramps then all of a sudden I heard him said hmm that's not right he said I had slight play on the driveshaft going into gearbox side auto too .....so I hit the panic alarm only had the car since end of October he said there shouldn't be play but can't be sure if it's causing the noise , and worth mentioning the noise can cause sometimes on a right bend with weight bearing in that side going over a pothole can cause a side skip...so my real concern is what the hell am I looking at here and I'm really panicking as I've borrowed m9eny to buy this car I did initially test drive it and hear the noise only slight and f4om past experience 4x volvos in the past it's always nsf knocking form various suspension items can anyone please give me some light at the end of the tunnel as its making me feel ill this.

I would have expected the symptoms you describe as the drop link or the strut/shock itself.
The Electric 4C struts are common to leak from the top shock part. |
