Default ECU or fuel injectors? s40 v50 2.0 diesel

Hi people, once again, got ECU checked by repair company for my s40 v50 diesel 2.0 who said it is fine no errors. put back into car along with a new injector and now no pulse signal to injector 1 and 4 (4 being the one that was said to be faulty and replaced), injectors 2 and 3 according to mechanic are getting a signal but not 1 and 4. he has checked the wiring from the ECU harness for continuity using the ohmeter they are fine however using noid lamps there is no signal to injector 1 and 4. the car does start but after a serious struggle. however serious misfire due to 1 and 4 being down.

so mechanic reckons it is a faulty ECU and advised it should be replaced, but it is very expensive to do. he is adamant it cannot be a fault with any other component. any thoughts on this one, I was advised on this forum it could be throttle body needs cleaning or changing fuel filter, but mechanic is saying the electrical issue is not controlled by these components . this car is seriously stressing me out....please any advise will be greatly appreciated.

why would pulse go only to 2 injectors and not the other 2?

Thanks in advances

Default Ecu or injectors

You need for certain to be able to check continuity of wiring from Ecu to injectors, do not buy an Ecu until you can prove that it is faulty, if your mechanic cannot sort it get an auto electrician to test it, either that or waste more money on parts that may not be needed, it is quite rare that ecus are faulty, it is normally wiring connections or bad earths etc...

the two injectors which are working the noid lamp is indicating that to be the case, whereas the 2 which are not working the lamp is not lighting. why would 2 injectors not have signal and 2 do, is there a separate controller for each injector on the ecu?
