XC60 on TV

Did anyone else notice in the new BBC series "Shetland" that that the main character DI Perez is driving around in a new XC60.

It is a good piece of product placement by Volvo, in the first episode the car was hardly off the screen.

I noticed it (but wasn't it a V90?) and thought Police Scotland must be paying well because it had the B&W audio fitted.

It could be product placement because the Midsommer Murder team also drive Volvos and both it and Shetland are made by ITV.

Not noticed it, it takes quite a while before series such as Shetland make it to Belgium.
But the good news is that there is a new season of Shetland coming, even if Perez were to travel by bus

Haven't seen it yet, but pretty sure in previous series he's driven a v70.

Yes, I think that's correct.
Volvo seems to invest in this way of advertising more often, I remember DI Mathias driving a Volvo in Hinterland.
In Midsomer Murders, Barnaby also drives a Volvo.
And I also see a lot of Volvo police cars, I assume they are Volvo's in the real world too?

Absolutely, Wallander also drove a Volvo I believe.
