2018 xc60 apple watch remote engine start

up to yesterday i was able to start my car from my apple watch, however I now only have the option for parking climate start as the option to remote engine start has disappeared anyone experience the same or have a solution to this as i really liked being able to start engine remotely from my watch

Did the app update, I have had a few app updates that resulted in losing useful options, I now only allow manual updates on my devices so I can choose which to update.
Have you tried removing the app and reloading it.
I have a great app called smartview2 which allows me to watch any tv channel on my tablet, useful when wife is watching a soap and I want my programs, when app updated you could not watch tv on it only use it as a remote, luckily I had it on another device with the old version and was able to reload it onto my tablet using ES file explorer.

My watch still has remote start on it, just tried it and it’s still working. Try removing app from watch and putting back on, maybe it’s got it’s knickers in a twist.

thank you nu11eaf yes everything is same I even uninstalled the VOC app on my iPhone and uninstalled voc app from apple watch 3 and still the option is not there after reinstallation

yes i have done all the usual uninstall and reinstall
when i start voc on my watch i have the following screes
parking climate
doors
findcar
range
map
but i used to have another screen remote engine start either just before or just after parking climate screen

Yep it should be on the second screen, odd one that.Have you done a complete re pair on the watch. Takes a few mins but maybe worth a go when you have time.

Is the option still showing on your iPhone app ?

I lost the map feature from my watch a while back, and it was also missing from the iPhone. Deleting the iPhone app, restarting the iPhone and then reinstalling the voc app made it reappear.

i have unpaired the watch and phone
Reinstalled voc on iPhone and watch
paired watch to iPhone again
still no joy

Remote engine start works fine from iPhone app and
i have latest software on watch 4.2.2 iPhone 11.2.5 and car has the latest software showing check at start up

I dont know if you can install and use ES file explorer app on your apple watch but if you can and cant get it sorted any other way its a good app for transferring and installing files and apps wirelessly from one device to another. You could put the working app from iphone onto the watch.
But if others peoples are still working it may be just a glitch. One other thought, did you try rebooting your watch after reinstalling app.

My route would be: 1). Remove Volvo App from iPhone, 2). Having checked it auto removed itself from Apple Watch, then REBOOT Watch, 3). Reinstall Volvo App on iPhone & reset it up, etc, 4). Check it has auto installed on Watch & fingers crossed.........
