Default V50 fitting parrot mki9200

Hi all.
Been looking to get one of these fitted and having a problem finding somewhere to fit it. I've check the boot and there's no amp there also on radio start up I only have the car logo. So from some research I thought I had the standard audio system. However I had a fitter arguing he couldn't do the job because after calling something they told him the amp was in the boot (I'm positive it's not) they then mentioned about it being under the seat.
Do I have an amp or am I right in thinking that parrot fits to the leads at the back of the cd player? With an sot45 lead?

How much is an average price to pay for fitting or would I be better just taking the time to do it myself?

This is what I used to install the MKi 9200 into my '06 S40.

Can't say I'm happy though, the build quality and reliability of the parrot is appalling. I'm currently saving up for one of the BluePower headunits.

might just throw a curveball your way, I just fitted a Pure highway 400 for the DAB, taking the input into the aux input in central console, if you go for a pure highway 600 which has DAB and phone, absolute doddle to install and if the phone works as well as the DAB it will be awesome a quick google show it at £132 on Tesco. the best bit imo is the screen unit is wireless.

Oh right. Reliability? What's been going wrong with it?
