Volvo V70 TD £290

Nothing to do with me but I am looking for Phase 1 TD. I called and was told its a bit smokey on acceleration, could be something simple but too far for me to go and check. Might be of interest to someone.

I've had 3 with that engine, and they're all Smokey on acceleration due to the design and type of the engine, even when timing is bob on.

As long as it's black sooty smoke and only on hard acceleration it's fine.

I may be selling my 1997 V70 TDI in the coming weeks as I have bought a much newer xc70 but the V is still doing sterling service as the faithful backup for the other halfs freelander.

It's a Manual CD model with 240k.

could be ex-police in white, cloth and a manual. Looks ok.

I believe now sold but it wasn't an explod as it was a local car here in Ayrshire (not mine). I think it may have been the one which was on an INternet Auction site before Xmas when it just completed one of the charity trips.

Hello, yeah your right, this year it’s doing the Benidorm or bust charity rally, where I’m taking my S70. Did it last year in 2000 V70 but gearbox completely went and had to leave it.
