Well a hundred quid or so of fluid is a damn sight cheaper than a replacement box. Can't see that you have anything to lose really.

Maybe worth trying the Lucas slip additive? I’ve read that’s pretty decent.

I have tried it but didn’t work I am going to try rislone not that popular in this country it is the same as bar leaks transmission repair some very reviews on it, not normally a fan of additives but with nothing to lose going to completely flush the box and add some additive and see what happens it might buy me some time but will let you know how I get on, hopefully over the next week or so.

Got to be worth a try - I guess all depends on how much wear you have on the clutch plates. If you can get it to last another year then you have saved at least 1K in depreciation to put towards the cost of refurbishing yours. I for one am very interested to hear if this works for you or not.

You could also try putting sea foam in you can use it as a pre fluid change flush as well as an additive. |

I am hoping it improves it abit going to order everything this week so will keep you updated when I have managed to do it. Just a quick question when you fill the gearbox does the engine have to be running or can it be off I know it has to be running to level it just not sure about just filling it thanks a lot.
