Default Suspension Problem-Help needed Please

Hi, got a thread going in the general section and I put it there as I thought it would have more of a chance of getting someone that works in Volvo but not yet so I'm putting this link in the chance some of you will have had the same problems. I have read and searched on here and on C30world and I have the Tec. Journals for North America but really want the ones for the UK as the dealers keep telling me that there are none for the C30

Anyway as allways thanks in advance and the link is below.

Cheers
Will

I'm gonna say the strut top mount is pumped. fairly common even from very low miles.

Have they used a chassis year on it yet? if not tell them to its in the minimum equipment list for it. in VIDA it says to use this first when diagnosing suspension knocks.

Sorry that should read chassis ear. It's basically a bunch of microphones you clamp in the suspension pointing at components you think are noisey. In the cab there is a receiver that gets the channels each Mic is on and can switch between each one. So basically what's supposed to happen is either the customer or another tech drive while another tech sits in the passenger seat with the receiver and switches between the channels to narrow down the source of the noise.

Thanks for that, do all dealers have it? I will be insisting that they use it.
