Heater Problem
Can’t find anything on the forum about this so hope it’s not been asked before.
I have an ‘02 S40 and I’m having a problem with the heater. Even with the temperature control set to max I only get cool air from the blowers. The coolant level is okay and I have no problem with the A/C just the heater. I was hoping someone could point out where to look next. Not been a problem over summer, but with how cold it’s been in the morning past week or so thought it was best to get this sorted sooner rather than later! Thanks in advance. |

It sounds like one of the air diverter flaps isn't working. The heater matrix has a constant flow of hot water with the temperature being controlled by the flow of air either over the heater or aircon matrix or a combination of both.

Could you tell me where I can find these? I’ve also checked the damper motor behind the radio and that looks to be working fine. Thank you in advance |
