Nah, too far over. When I clean up the mess the first fresh drop of oil reveals itself just below the flywheel access hole on the engine block. Near where the RHS axle goes into transmission.

Took the transmission out over the weekend. I recorded the whole thing so half-ass youtube videos to follow. Turned out to be the rear main seal.

I think you meant the "rear" crank shaft seal, right? If so, you were correct.

After watching your video, yes. That's what I meant. The crankshaft seal on the flywheel side. Or rear crank shaft seal as you put it..... If you misunderstood what I said for the seal on the crankshaft pulley, I should have made it a bit clearer at the time...... Glad you got it sorted.

It is actually quite relaxing watching that video while I am chilling out on the sofa without having to get my hands dirty and watching someone else do all the work....lol
