I am sorry to dissent. I recommend bubble and squeak. Proper made. From leftover cooked veg. Cabbage. Potato. Carrot. Wotever. But when I was young there were only a few vegetables. Fried in a frying fan. Served with an egg laid by a duck looked after by my friends who live at the foot of Old Church Hill. Now that is a steep hill.

Going up to 195/65/15 has corrected it somewhat, now giving about 64mph at an indicated 70mph, to correct it completely i think i'd have to go to 205/70/15 which is tempting in terms of ride compliance but not so tempting on the handling front.

Methinks there's something odd with your speedometer to be getting those readings |

Either way, my speedo is over-optimistic!

So much waffle...
XCR, you should be fine with 215/65/16 (26.1" diameter). I ran 205/70/15 (26.3") and currently run 205/65/15 (25.5") on the rear without issue. I use http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp for wheel/tyre sizing comparisons. With these tyres and using the DigiHUD app, when going 60 mph my speedo over reads by 1 mph. It originally came with 205/55/16 on Auriga's like yours, which means the speedo under reads by 0.4 mph. Sooo yeah, 940 speedos seem to be pretty damn accurate. Here's a 760 on chunky 205/70/15's.. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/TO0AA...Wx/s-l1600.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/fMQAA...W9/s-l1600.jpg

Good reply, thanks.
I'm refurbing the wheels next week and fitting fresh wheel centres and Goodyear Ultra Grip snow tyres in 215 60 16. Love that massive estate by the way ! |

XCR. I have a spare set of wheels. My Continental TS860s are nearly all delivered. When the temperature is down a bit lower, I will also be fitting winter tyres.
I don't think either of us will regret winter tyres, and we might end up well pleased that we have them. |
