Installed a new set of Osram front fog lights, and refitted the back box heat shield that tried to make a break for it.

Took about 40 minutes to take the bumper skin and slam panel off and unbolt the headlights (done it before so knew that bit). Tip - undo the 2x bonnet catches and leave them connected to the cable. That allows the slam panel to come completely out of the way.

The I/C is a barsteward to get out, once the radiator pack is unbolted (4 bolts hold it together and there's another 2 in the water radiator that go in from the bottom to hold everything in place). There's a bottom plastic cowl that I took off for more room (2x 10mm bolts and 2x obvious clips). I 'wiggled' the I/C round 90 degrees and it came out of the top. Not easy though as there isn't really enough room. Swap over the MAP sensor, if yours is on the intercooler, and reverse the procedure.

It took me about 5 hours in total, but not solid work as it was too hot and I had a couple of seized bolts, so a natural 30 minute break for plusgas to soak in. Not difficult, but fiddly in places and a very dirty job!

Stone chip on the windscreen yesterday! 😠

Just fitted a discreet dash cam too, that will need to come off again, as the chip has now cracked, about 150mm across the screen. ☹☹

Suppose this will be my work on the car for this month.

Ordered a set of Bosch Aerotwin wipers to replace the old Aerotwins on the car. What should have been a two minute job to replace them turned into 30+ minutes of fiddling. Normally I'd be pretty clued up when ordering car parts, but in this instance the Left Hand Drive wiper blades escaped the usual pre-purchase scrutiny. After taking some parts from the old Aerotwins, the new ones were installed without issue.

I swore yet again at the remote fob receiver for failing, the rear view mirror for staying dimmed!
But spot welded the return spring locating bracket on the clutch pedal----------------the weld had broken completely allowing the spring to fall into the footwell.
Got to keep the old girl soldiering on now (within reason)........

Removed the wheels, scrubbed the calipers with a wire brush and sprayed them with brake cleaner.
Painted the calipers in Polestar blue and the carriers in black.
Also, painted the disc backplates in black.
Also painted the edges and hub centres, including the vents on the discs, in black too.
Have the alloys a really good clean and de-tar, then gave them a ceramic coating.
Polished the wheel nuts and coated the threads & hub faces with copper grease.
