My gut is telling me that this might be the case! Because this happened before and it fixed by it self while loaded on recovery lorry..
In my silly head looks like same thig happened again.. Car been shaken on the way to main dealer.
This time battery were flat due to aa guy tring to fire up the engine that's why they decided that this might be the case and pay their bills on my behalf! I feel like I went to doctors to get my appendix done and left with my leg removed.
I believe there is battery saving feature which shutdown radio etc. If motor not running? This might give An option about faulty altornator and battery to gardner but not to volvo engineer? I'm not a mechanic, but I believe that you can start the car as long as there is some juice left in battery?

So, I collected car this morning after my battery and alternator been changed. Car started fine. Done about 10 miles. Stopped for subway can't fire up again..

Wonder what is my legal rights for this matter? Because I throw away £700?

Volvo mechanic told me that tank in xc60 is different than s60 coz xc60 is from 2 parts and s60 1?

I said yesterday that the battery and alternator diagnosis didn't make sense.

By the way the fault didn't show up as this on diagnostics but the Volvo garage managed to do it through go old fashioned trial and error. Thankfully they didn't charge me for all of this lol!
Just had the same issue with V60 D3. Intermittent starting when it wanted. Had to change the low pressure in tank pump AND you need the modified wiring loom to go with it👍🏻 fault doesnt show on diagnostics. It took a specialist diagnostics garage a week to 100% confirm the fault through trial and error. Before you ask, £910, on Christmas eve😭
