Smile Got my new XC60 at the weekend

Pleased to report I was like a dog with 2 tails at the weekend. Took delivery of my XC60 D4 181 SE Lux Nav with the manual gearbox.

It replaced a 60 reg XC90 which, apart from the time I left the sidelights on, never let me down.

First impressions of the new car.

Looks stunning in Ice White. Paid extra for Tribos paint protection.

Factory fit extras: Winter pack, Premium sound, Front Park assist, Auto dimming mirrors, BLIS, tempa spare wheel. It has also got the (dealer fit) dvd screens in the rear of the front headrests.

Could not believe mpg on way home. 49.6!!!

Still trying to understand all the instruments and what they can do, but getting there.

Would submit a photo, but do not know how, or how to blank out the number plate.

I feel that the seats are more supportive than those in the XC90. You feel as though you are actually in the seats rather than on them. There is also much less body roll.

Am I happy? You bet

Join fuelly.com and log your true mpg there. Don't rely on the OBC

Congratulations, sounds great.

I did the first commute from work this evening in my new D4 geartronic , averaged 47mpg in light traffic for the trip so well pleased with it.

Sounds great, ex Triumph Man!

You must work on pics: we have ordered ice white too!
Did your dealer do the Tribos Protction, and is that more of a "ceramic style" Protction or a "regular" supagard style thing?

My dealer only offers autoglym life shine, which doesn't sound particularly special. Tempted to use a local specialist detailed with a carpro or Williams F1 style ceramic coating. My wait will be long enough that another couple of days won't make much difference....although I doubt the dealer would let them Di it at their showroom.

Yes dealer did it themselves. Takes about 5 hours though and cost circa £300 Worth it I think. Took photo on iPad so have no idea as to how to put on this website. Sorry
