Default Intermittant eggy smell

I've recently developed an intermittent eggy smell coming into the cabin. Can't find anything that could be causing it. It's on a 2010 1.6D C30. Has anyone had anything similar? Thanks

Had the same issue a few weeks ago. Turned out to be bad screen wash water. If it's not that it could potentially be the cat.

either the screen washer or the aircon condensor. Lots of posts about it on here. Also worth changing the cabin filter for good measure, if its old and moisture in car, could be culprit

Thanks for the input. I'm going to clean the washer system this weekend, hopefully that'll sort it out. failing that I'll look at the cabin air filter.

just occurs to me, does this coincide with you or your wife having curry or cabbage for dinner?

She doesn't get in the car after a curry, not willing to take that chance

I had this with my C70 and it was the contents of the washer bottle going sour. Was bloody awful.

Did you find the culprit?

Egg smell usealy comes from sulfur.
What can leak sulfur in your engine Compartment?

Overcharging a acid battery!
Changed DPF recently? A New dpf can give of some sulfur.
If you somehow got lower quality diesel with elevated sulfurvalues(If this is the case it Will smell eggs from the exhaustpipe)
