Hi Chris,
I have one on E-bay at present, bought for my 96 T5 but was wrong, have a look and see if this one is the same. Located on the passenger side under the big grey shroud next to the wiper arm. Item number:- 4612224352 Part number:- 9184130, this is on a little plastic tab on the filter casing. Even if you dont want this one I thought it may give you an idea of what it looks like. P.S. any one know the number for my 96 850 pollen filter while we are on the subject.

Get one from GSF. About £8 less and same quality.
I think mine was the 267 x 172 x 28mm version V12305 but measure the holder and it should be obvious. I had to buy the holder as well and I think this can only be sourced from Volvo. I used the money I saved on the filter to replace the washer jets with V70 items. A big improvement and a mod that I would recommend if you haven't done it already. |

hi all
Nice to drag one of these oldies back to the top Having spent ages trying to source a filter cheaply (ebay/google) and tying myself up in knots with part numbers, I'll ask a question whilst I still have teeth left to spit out. I'm guessing that the part number on my filter (9184130) is that out of an hard plastic outer casing? The number quoted for filter medium (9171296) is an insert that beds inside this case? Q1 Please tell me this is correct ? Q2 Have you clever peeps got any advice as (apart from the obvious) how to replace the filter? What mastic to use? Or do I need to find a corner to stand in. |

Pollen Cabin Filter
I too ahve a 9184130 and bought a WIX WP6854 which is supposed to fit. It doesn't has no palstic rim for a start, but I got a soem bathroom sealant and shoehorned it in. Ripped old paper out of the rim and forced it in. Messy but works. The real 9184130 seems hard to get. I think a 9171296 is the same filter but can't get to the bottom of it. Looks the same. The pattern items don't ahve the rim, and don't fit the rim prperly.
