Default 12" display - centre section very slow to open

Anyone finding it seems to take an age for the selectable view section of the 12" driver display to open. Mine is set to show map view and sometimes takes 3 mins to open despite the map display on the main touch screen activating very quickly?

Cheers

What is showing in the driver display while it is waiting.

Mine does the same, however it's fairly random, sometimes it switches immediately after the seat belt is plugged in, other times it takes 2-3 minutes.

No problem here.
Sometimes the map is displayed immediately, or the car icon, for doors and seat belts.
If the latter is displayed, a press on the right hand steering accept button, brings up the map.

Yes the car icon can stay in the centre display for a while, this can be cancelled as Tem said using the 0 accept button.

Mine does this occasionally. Haven't been able to determine the circumstances that cause the delay.

Thanks Tem and Neon.

Mostly I see the doors/seatbelt display, occasional it's just blank (as nothing is displayed there)

Could it be opening the rear door?
I found that if I opened the rear doors e.g. to put my case or jacket in there, it would show the car for a while before switching to map. I assumed it was like my Lexus where it assumes some-one has gotten into the back and it is showing you whether or not they have their seat-belt on.
