fitting dog guard behind front seats 2005 v70

Can anyone tell me how to fit genuine volvo guard behind front seats on my 2005 V70?

The metal guard doesn’t fit behind the front seats. When the rear seat is folded down, the net inside the backrest from the rear seats, can be attached to the roof mounting points behind the driver and passenger seats….

I was about to ask the same question because the fixture in the roof looks the same. Was there ever a metal frame that fitted behind the front seats?
