Default Service light or message on 2018 XC90

Can anyone tell me when or if a service indicator appears on a 2018 XC90?
It’s currently saying a service is due in 44 days in the car status, but does a actual light or message comes on?

The reason I’m asking is Volvo finance won’t pick up the car if a service light is on.

Yes you start getting a message when you first power up the vehicle. It is mileage and time dependent and I haven't really worked it out yet. When I was doing circa 2500 miles a month it would come on with a couple of thousand miles to go. My mileage per month has dropped right down now and it was maybe 700 miles before it came on last time.

If you're due a time dependent service (rather than a mileage one) then my money would be on one month's notice, but that is a guess.

My service messaged popped up a couple of days ago. Last service was 26 Feb last year - so looks like it's four weeks if you're time-limited.

It starts to appear about 28 days before the due date and is reset at the service. Not sure if it also warns based on mileage

Yes it is very comprehensive , it warns you a month before to give you time to book a service ... It warms you when it is Due , and it warns you if you are late ! It is triggered by Mileage and time and oil condition , although i have never seen a poor oil quality message .

yes in the oil level sensor , The condition is not used fron 2006 but in cars of the last 5 years or so they do use it .

The oil level sensor sends out digital signals with oil temperature , Oil level and Oil quality information
