What warning messages should my 07 Exec give?
Does anyone know which error or warning messages can be displayed on a 2007 Exec?
I'm thinking about things like brake pad wear, blown bulbs etc. Is there a definitive list? |

Does the instruction/owners manual not tell you?

it wont tell you brake pad wear , but there are just too many to list , luckily people dont see many !
It will tell you if you have a headlamp bulb out , or "position light" which is one of the 4 tail lights , and Brake light or direction indicator . But there are many more . like low oil level , low oil pressure , temperauture high , transmission service required , engine system service required , Book time for service , Service due , service over due . Anti-skid service required . etc etc . messages are accompanied by a fault code being stored for the garage to read out and aslo the red or orange triangle light depending how urgent or safe the problem is .

Brake pad wear is taken care of my the regular servicing , Historicaly, brake pad wear devices are unreliable and also the inner pad can wear more than the outer . Nothing beats the regular visual checks . You can do this yourself with most volvos having few spokes on their wheels allowing you to easily see the pads . These days pads ( front or rear ) last between 25000 - 50000 miles on average and rear wear at the same rate or more than the front !
