Question Two rubber tubes..

Talking about tubes and pipes, I've got a 740GL (late '86) and in the boot, underneath the parcel shelf, on the far left and the far right, there is a tube coming down about approximately an inch in diameter. Can anyone tell me what on earth these are for. They seem to disappear into the area of the wheel arch..

I know it's nothing important, but it's always puzzled me.

Thanks

Werner

Does your car have a tilt/slide sunroof? They'll be the rear drains.
