urgent need of radio code
bought 2001 V40 other day, no radio code for HU-605. Need to be able to get travel news in current bad weather! Have tried some sites but they say no code for this serial no. VO2480 Y251E109D. Can anyone help???? As veh reg transfer not yet complete-cannot get from dealer. Many thanks

Your serial number is actually too long, is there another number that would fit?

you could also phone volvo and ask them there, depending on who you phone, some might say "have it for free" some may say "there is a charge for searching volvo data for your radio code sir, can i have you bank details?" and others might say "bring it in and it's £50 to look at it"
i poned kings volvo southhampton, as soon as the girl's supervisor left she gave me the last known radio code to my HU-605 best of luck edit: i would write it on the radio aswell...

you could always do what i did. get your wife or girlfriend to ring main dealer and pretend to be a damsel in distress, seems to work every time.

Check your volvo service book if you have one, on the last two volvo's i have owned the code has been written down in the service book.
