cheers, I agree whole heartedly! They need a good clean first...

question is, do I take the tyres off and sell separately so I don't have to deal with the issues of people misconceptions about cheap tyres?

Best thing to do is to sell em really cheap to a poor English guy living in Czech! ;-)

I agree with Wooble. £200-250 or maybe £300 at a push if someones desperate for a set needing a refurb is about the market value without taking into account tyre condition, tread depth or brand.

I've shown a lot of interest in these - and I've also asked many times what kind of price you are looking for before I make an offer - which you have not given me yet.

As I haven't a clue what you are expecting to get; they have are only a set of 4; they have 3 budget tyres fitted; and they need a £200 refurb... I will collect from your door for £200 if you are interested.

If you put them on eBay available worldwide they will sell for £400+

I've sold good sets of Galaxies for £600 and a mint set of Polaris for £780

Europeans go crazy for them

I sold a set of Polaris last year with 4 good budget tyres and 2 wheels had dents in the back for £500

Yes take the tyres off , the tyres on the wheels have no effect on the price of the wheels at all , people will be wanting to fit their own preference tyres .. also the postage will be considerably cheaper ...

Ian,
I did say to you many times to make me an offer which you failed to do. If I had no use for money then I would gladly give them up to you to put on your car in the UK but in my current position I do need every penny I can get.
Sadly £200 doesn't reach the mark, and although I have been offered more I think the fairest thing to do is to put them on ebay... I just hope they don't go out of the country.

Thanks 440-turbo for enlightening us all to a true representation of the prices these things should go for.

I think as you haven't given any indication about the price you want your best bet is ebay. It's no good asking for offers and then getting upset if it isn't what you wanted. A lot of forums require a price in the advert to save any silly arguments.

Are you a trader ?

It's not like your selling the Crown Jewels, get them on Ebay like I do with my stuff; when I can be bothered. There is no such thing as 'what these things should go for'. It's about what people are prepared to pay. Ebay gets you market price, by definition.

Precisely why I asked you about 5 times a rough price you are looking for. Clearly you were hoping I would offer you £3000 for them, as you obviously do think you are selling the crown jewels. Again as I have said to you before, there is a user Smithy on here who tried to sell a set reconditioned for £300 and had no bites so he has them on his own car now.

If you are so strapped for cash, my advice is to stop buying Volvos that you say are in need of too much work for daily use. Sounds to me as you are trying to make a living out of breaking perfectly good motors, ripping everyone on here off.
