LPG, CNG & LNG - General Info and Issues Share experiences and problems

Information
  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Great comments, thanks for the insight.

Think I will head for the LPG, i line manage a mechanic who is always moaning that LPG cars break down all the time but I have heard lots of other positive reports!

Estate isnt possible, I surf and need the board space.

If the conversion is done properly, you change the filter regularly, and then you make sure that you keep the ignition in tip-top order - new plugs every 10k, new leads, rotor and dissy every 100k, then your LPG conversion should be every bit as reliable as the rest of the car.

Yep, Autogas 2000 in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

A fine job they did too, it's been a brilliant success with well over 210,000 LPG miles on the car now, on top of the 50k that were on when I had the conversion done.

Thirsk is a long way from you I appreciate, but then again, when in Yorkshire phone calls to God are quite cheap - it's only a local call!
