Default Wanted: 1992 960 3.0 Air Filter Housing Box

Hi guys,

Just bought a 1992 960. Given it a full service and when I came to changing the air filter I noted a botched air-box (held together with insulation tape!).

As such I'm looking for the lid and base (that the air filter element sits in).

I'm located in Cambridgeshire, but happy to pay postage.

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Best bet for this is the dealer. Most likely it will include the whole assembly (not the MAF sensor) that goes from box, via MAF to the throttlebody inlet.

I changed mine on my 780 and cost was only £90 or so.

Why do you say that? Do they commonly break? Or is it more a case there is few being broken with parts available?

Thanks,
Rob

I don't think the commonly break, but when I ordered, everything came as "one".

I was going through various hoses etc making notes of what needed changing (22 years old!). Mine looked a bit... bad so ordered one. When the dealer took of the old one, it turned out to be completly cracked underneath (impossible to see from above). Once removed a quick look at the throttle body revealed a whole load of c***p in the throttle body itself. Cleaned out, much more responsive.

Now looking at the invoice, I paid £49.60 + VAT - 10% (VOC Member) + fitting.
