Default Clutch release fork and throw out bearing

Hello - I'm installing a new clutch fork and throw out bearing into an M47 transmission on my 240. Long story, but I don't have the old fork and throw out bearing to go by, and I'm trying to figure out how the throw out bearing seats into the fork.

Could you let me know if this looks correct (see below)? I could not find a picture online of how the small springs in the throw out bearing should fit into the fork. The parts diagram is no help either.

By the way, I realize that I need to grease up all the wear points (except the face of the throw our bearing itself).

Thank you very much!

Hi,

looks correct to me - the spring holds the fork to the pivot ball to stop it rattling around when you're not pressing on the clutch pedal and the clutch release bearing seems to be in the correct place.

Cheers

Thanks. I was just a little worried, because I can take the bearing off the fork somewhat easily, with a little pressure. It’s not really “locked in.” On the other hand, maybe it’s not a big issue because the pressure needed to remove bearing must be applied in a direction perpendicular to the pressure exerted on the bearing when it contacts the springs inside the clutch pressure plate. The latter force would seem to press the bearing further into the fork.
