Im guessing he might have owned a Ford infected Volvo or a troublesome GDI.

I hate the fact that they don't make them like this any more and started making them like Focus' instead.
I would buy a '12', or '62' reg, if they were still like ours. Gary

I think its due to everyone nowadays demanding sat navs and electric everything as standard which is where things become complicated electronically and that complexity usually results is more faults vs a car thats much simpler and can be worked on by the owner and doesn't need to go back to the main dealer to fit a headlight bulb etc. |

Too early to say - I have only had mine for 7 weeks - but I was amused that for a few hours the external temperature was apparently -40 degrees. Now I know that Newcastle upon Tyne is not the warmest part of the country - but it is not that bad!

I do love my v40, but i do have minor niggles:
Bloody GDI engine driving me nuts with its lack of power. inconsistancy with exterior lights, i.e. Chrome indicators with orange lamps, Chrome headlights, orange side markers, and smoked repeaters on the wings. IMHO, all black and smoked for you sporty T4 boys and Chrome and white for us SE lux chaps. inconsistancy with interior lights / switches. heated seats/ demister/ recirc,= no lamp for off and orange for on. Air con orange for off and green for on. lights nothing for off green for on. this does confuse the older generation a bit. other than the above, i have loved this car since i bought it 5 years ago.
