4 - For changing headlamp glass is pretty standard to have to loosen the bumper on modern cars im just glad they arent sealed units and you can change the glass.

5 - As has been said it sound like your thermostat is knackered as these cars warm up pretty quickly if working ok.

6 - Has the pollen filter been changed lately as that can stop a huge amount of air coming into the cabin and could be the cause of your poor demisting.

7 - The boot lock should work with the central locking.

8 - Rear wipers are never really fitted to saloons.

9&10 - Ive never had problems with the fuel shown or used with mine or my dads cars(i get 24.5 out of my T4 but its driven fairly hard)

11 - Try Osram Silverstars or Osram nightbreakers they make the world of difference and dont cost the earth.

I hate the fact that they don't make them like this any more and started making them like Focus' instead.

I would buy a '12', or '62' reg, if they were still like ours.

We have pre-ford infected cars, it happened with one of my previous cars, the Mazda 323F, they were great cars, then Ford had something to do with them and suddently they started rusting badly and had other electrical issues.

I think its due to everyone nowadays demanding sat navs and electric everything as standard which is where things become complicated electronically and that complexity usually results is more faults vs a car thats much simpler and can be worked on by the owner and doesn't need to go back to the main dealer to fit a headlight bulb etc.

Too early to say - I have only had mine for 7 weeks - but I was amused that for a few hours the external temperature was apparently -40 degrees. Now I know that Newcastle upon Tyne is not the warmest part of the country - but it is not that bad!

I do love my v40, but i do have minor niggles:

Bloody GDI engine driving me nuts with its lack of power.

inconsistancy with exterior lights, i.e. Chrome indicators with orange lamps, Chrome headlights, orange side markers, and smoked repeaters on the wings. IMHO, all black and smoked for you sporty T4 boys and Chrome and white for us SE lux chaps.

inconsistancy with interior lights / switches. heated seats/ demister/ recirc,= no lamp for off and orange for on. Air con orange for off and green for on. lights nothing for off green for on. this does confuse the older generation a bit.

other than the above, i have loved this car since i bought it 5 years ago.

Did you notice that when it reads at an extremely low temperature, your fuel gauge reads next to nothing at the same time, even if it's full?

They must be linked somehow.
