Have a warning message and warning light on for my ABL, have been advised by phone call to dealer it will cost about £380 ,to put right. I can't remember the last time i drove at night and really couldn't care if I have ABL working or not.
Anyone know if there is a way to remove the warning message ( Headlight failure - service required) or can it only be done by the dealer.

There is a specific computer module and a number of sensors to control the ABL lights - there is no easy means of "turning it off". If you do, you will likely have headlight alignment issues.

Is it definitely the ABL? I'm sure I had that same message when a headlamp bulb went. I thought the ABL threw up a specific ABL failure message.

They have now investigated it and confirmed that the issue is the one they mentioned as the most likely problem on the phone, it is to do with whatever is on the rear axle that controls it

I had this on my v60 and was the level sensor at the rear right, part was listed as rear right ride height sensor at a cost of £96(end of 2018)
Fairly easy job to change, no reset was needed when I did mine.
I had 4 c suspension as well and that was interesting when that sensor was out!

Yeah that must be what it is, they have emailed the worksheet that they couldn't print at the time and it shows o/s/r level sensor £377.24 to fix. There is a volvo service centre just 5 miles from where I live and I just took it to them, I will try the Indy garage about an hour away over in Fife sometime.
