Thumbs down D3 knocking under acceleration from low rev

Hi
My new (6000km) V60 d3 136 hp has a knocking sound when accerating slowly from low speed. It only occurs when motor is on operational temp. Runs smooth and nice in iddle and when pulling harder.
Is anyone having a similar experience or know what is the matter?

Best regards Niels

At 1200 - 1500 rpm. I dosnt matter witch gear. The knocking is only made when giving a small amount of throtle. It happens for example when passing a roadbump. The speed is reduced and after the bump the speed is increased again. You hear the knocking when accelerating.

Interesting. Is the 'knocking' sound louder and easier to hear if you have the windows open? Or is it mainly coming through the car body?

The D3/D4 engine does make a slightly unusual 'throb' sound when accelerating from low rpm, but should not make a 'knocking' sound.

It seems that is is mainly coming though the car body. To me it sounds like a valve or injector. The Sound is in sync with the rev. But from one cyl. Only. It is not there the first 15 min after start on cold motor.

I have the 'old' D3 (with 163bhp) and it has always made a slightly metallic knocking sound when accelerating quickly from low rpm (around 1,300 - 1,400).

However it only does this when the engine is cold, in the first 1 - 2km from starting. When fully warm, it does not make this sound.

Maybe the dealer could check for a software update?
