Post Understanding your DPF

Hello,

I've written a thread after a thorough investigation and research of the DPF installed in my 2015 D5 V60, the same thinking can be applied to most if not all 2.0 and 2.4 diesels across the range of cars.

It may be of some use to you if you're having DPF issues or rising oil level issues, so here it is.

Does Volvo fit a supplementary fuel injector just prior to the DPF in order to sustain regeneration in less favourable circumstances? Some brands and models do but some don't.
I wouldn't be surprised if Volvo didn't on their current 2.0 litre four cylinder engines, because the very close-coupled nature of the DPF must surely help keep temperature high when and where it matters.
