hello,
i really want to get my hands on a 1985 or 1986
240
244
245
any shape or style, so long as it has the B230a engine.
cant find one for love nor money, do i have to go to Sweden?!

1983 estate avaible

2.1 engine carburettor

avaible in shed == 2.3A engine 100.000 miles

also 5 speed gearbox

currently on LPG

does anyone by any chance know the codes for an after sales starter motor and a alternator. (all for the same B230a).
my garage says they really need a number plate to get the correct parts or we'll be getting parts and sending them back to and fro.
basicaly,i want to get new starter and altern. or the loan of someones number plate to order these bits!!!
this engine is not the original for my car, hence i cant use my own reg.

BAsicly all alternators/starters will do for your engine either from the BXX or BXXX range. I would advise to look for the recent B230 starter like late 200 series and/or 700/900 series on petrol.

hi sorry dont know of any as old as that around in scotland at the moment i have a 240 glt b230e i think fuel injection 1987 which is locked away at the moment ,i am also looking for bits from a saloon ie boot lid. good luck have you looked at what other volvos that used that engine ie 740,940 ect cheers gary
