Oh, and I forgot, replaced the fuel flap hinge as the stupid little plastic clips had gone...

Free tip : Removing the old one is a PITA - I ended up dremelling the plastic away to release the mounting points

Don't try and pry it off with a screwdriver, even with a protective rag you'll bend the edge of the flap, don't ask me how I know, thankfully hidden from sight once mounted...

Yesterday did a quick oil and filter change, Comma 4.55 litre A3/B3 semi synthetic only £11.something at B&Q ( so I bought two) and replaced a couple of barely legal Michelins with a pair of Landsail LS288 at £55 each.

This morning my £1054 ebay purchase with 63000 now on the clock, purchased with about 54,000 in October, flew through the MOT with no advisories.

Epically cheap luxury motoring.

Cheers,

Tony

Today I installed some leather seats.
Job was a total pain, I wish someone had told me how to remove the wiring connectors from the bottom of the front seats before I started lol.
FYI anyone needs to know there is a hinged plastic housing around the connectors - open this up and the connectors just pull out.

Thankfully once it was done no codes were thrown up

Hammerite dampers and springs
Drop links
Strip, clean and rebuild all CVs with new grease and boots
Strip, clean and rebuild all brakes

Time for a shower!

Today I have :

weighed 4 kestrels; 4 lanner and saker falcons and 17 owls from a 7 oz Liitle Owl to a 5lb 8oz European Eagle owl

flown a Red Tailed Hawk; a Harris Hawk and several Barn owls

been attacked by a bad tempered Indian Eagle owl

repatriated a Sparrow Hawk to the wild following a spell in hospital (best bit of the day)

oh, and got to the garage at 5pm to learn that my MoT is next week not today, stupid bird brained boy

Today I was mostly swearing....

A new turbo control valve as the old one was making a right row. Also I changed the brake servo as it was hissing like rather annoyed snake, which was fun to do :-)
