Thumbs up V50 D5 - Exhaust bling

Exhaust bling is everything these days apparently, so thought I'd join the band wagon..........

It's a pity the standard D5 tailpipes are almost hidden behind the bumper, so thought I'd rectify that......

Before.........

After.......

Well worth £12 on ebay, a grinder & 90min

Very neat job mate!

One of my factory chrome trims fell off recently so I found one similar on Amazon....it's not quite right though for my picky eyes.

My tail pipes point downwards so it's awkward to place a chrome trim without it looking like it's falling down - did you cut off the downward pointing part and then use the chrome trim to 'straighten up' the exits?

One of the things that jumped out at me when I was looking for an S40, was that the one that I eventually bought had exhaust bling

I think he has straight tips from the new, FL cars are not pointing "downwards" from what I remember. It looks better than pre-lifts, for sure.

Yeh, my pipes were like Rolling Thunders but didnt extend through the bumper aperture, a pity really.

That's why I sliced off the ovals, cut the pipe back until it was round, and extended the pipes using cheap Ebay bling 😂😂
