Default Sale, 1984 240 2.1 with LPG

Hi all

Selling my 240, the car has been in my family since new, still have the original receipt somewhere,

I used it from 2005 till 2010, it has 118k on it. it has an LPG conversion from Classic swede autogas on Anglesey.

Has been sat on the drive so will need trailered away, usual probs of rusted discs. Its in Chesterfield near J30 M1.

Will have a look around and get some more details up and photos over the weekend.

Have started car and has blowing exhaust!

looking for offers maybe around £500.

Default Found the receipt!

Found the original receipt when my father bought the car, think it was a showroom demo model hence it was registered then sold.

No MOT I take it? Why wasn't it used? Looking forward to details.

What date was it registered on the log book?

Thanks. James

You may say that but it may have terminal rot etc. We don't know until we get a better description and pictures.

I totally agree but it must be worth that money even if it is a breaker as the bits for these are surely getting rare. Although it certainly looks pretty good from the pictures . Don't forget it has a good lpg system and appears to be almost one owner. The days of picking these up for 20 quid are certainly over. Even if it has no floor my local banger boys (God forbid )would pay 250 .......apparently. The more we are willing to pay the more these cars will be looked after and not trashed.
The interior looks pretty immaculate, I'd give him One hundred pounds for the door pockets for instance, if they are perfect

Hi all and thanks for the interest;

This was my everyday car, not a project or a Sunday car, when I got a more practical/modern car the sensible thing would have been to get rid of it then, but as mentioned its been in my family since 1985 and has sentimental value.

I've other life pressures and hobbies and just never got round to using it and couldn't bring myself to get rid of it. Last MOT was 04/02/2011

Am moving house now so some things have to go, would l like it to go though the owners club so at least it wont just be scrapped, even if broken for parts its kept someone else's on the road.

Log book says first registered 20/09/1984, I think this was SMW the Volvo dealer in Belfast, then was sold to my family as an ex demonstartor.

One owner, plenty of history, coffin nose and mustard interior, it's a keeper......what are you waiting for?
