Default V50 stereo mute

Hi, i've just got a 2007 v50, with the standard audio system.

A few times the stereo has muted & cd is 'paused' and it won't allow me to turn the volume up. I can't find a way to unmute it & have to turn the ignition off, lock the car & the unlock & turn it on again.

What button mutes the stereo? & what button unmutes it?

Any help much appreciated!!

It will say in your owners handbook:

"Pause
If the volume is turned down completely, the
CD player is stopped. The player is restarted
when volume is increased."

If this doesnt work i would seek the dealers help . maybe you have a faulty cd or are they all doing this ?

I suspect what you are experiencing is becoming a familiar and increasingly common problem. I however have only suffered the effects once but other people have also had similar problems too.

Have a look at this thread LINKY!
