Default New toy - can't wait to fit...

This baby is coming from the States, rebuilt and mileage set to 51k to match the miles on my 245. Can't wait to fit it.

That's smart. What's the story behind that option - a US-only variant?

R Sport dash clocks for the early 240's. Extremely rare everywhere. Not sure if they were sold in the UK but even in the USA and Australia they are rare.

They were an optional extra and msot of the clock sets are knackered with age now. A guy on Turbobricks refurbs them and makes them better than new with improved circuit boards and such.

You know that John H is likely on eBay US as we speak looking for a set...

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if he's got some stashed already.

As everyone else states. Pictures needed! Very jealous!

Hi All,

I'm pretty stoked with how it's looking. Sourced the cluster in the States, then had it shipped to Roger (also in the US) who did the refurb. He also offers an upgrade with LED conversion, but I went with stock illumination. I wanted the refurb to make sure it worked but also to keep the mileage on the 245.

Amongst all the literature that came with my car is a 1976 brochure for accessories and options and the cluster is in there, so it must have been available in some way. I have seen a couple for sale in Sweden but as they were in KM I passed.

I'll post pics when fitted, but here's a couple more.

Cheers

Chris
