Default c70 alloys

Ive seen a set of alloys for my C70, they are from a 2007 C70 with 235/45/17's on, Does any one know if these will fit my 2000 C70, or are the tyres to wide, currently have stock 16's on with 225 tyres.

The current C30/S40/V50 & C70 use Ford Focus hubs so while the stud PCD is the same at 108mm the hub spigot is 63.4 mm diameter. The hub spigot on the 850 & S/V/C 70 is 65.1mm diameter so the wheels will not fit without modification.
The 235/45 17 tyres will probably rub at full lock which can be overcome with lock stops and they are about 5% larger so your speedo will read 70 while your actually doing 74 mph.

The other variable is the offset which is quite critical when your going for max width tyres.

All said and done it's probably not worth it.
